The Fast Cure For Dry Skin

You know those girls that have to blot their skin and constantly complain about their face being shiny? I’m not one of them. You clicking on this post makes me think you aren’t either. I have heard that serums and lotions can help those with oily skin but I’m going to stick to what I have experience with. This is my routine and the products I use that help me. Everyone’s skin is different. Always patch test a new product!

Morning: Serum For My Skin

These serums are everywhere. Basically you can walk into any store with a beauty isle and see what all the hype is about. I use this serum in the mornings before I put my makeup on. There has never been any trouble with my makeup not setting properly or anything like that after I use the product. I saw a great difference in my skin within a day of using this product! Oils are so great for replenishing moisture in your skin. This one was at T.J. Maxx, but there are similar ones in just about every store I walk into. I picked one with Hyaluronic acid because I have acne prone skin. That’s right, dry skinned girls get acne too! It’s not something caused just by oils! If you have dry skin, you should definitely pick one up!

Night: Coconut Oil and Lotion

Growing up, my mom always told me that makeup wipes are terrible. Most makeup wipes have enough alcohol to really cause problems for a dry skinned girl. I did my research years and years ago and found that coconut oil is insanely good for your skin and it takes off even water proof makeup! I have gone through jars and jars of this oil and I am so in love!

After my makeup is off and my face is washed, I follow up with a lotion. My current favorite is St. Ives Renewing Moisturizer. You will never run out of this stuff. It’s 10 ounces and you only need a pea sized amount for your entire face. I apply the lotion while my face is still damp so that the lotion can be fully absorbed into my skin. There hasn’t been any sort of problem with stickiness or other negative effects while using this lotion. This product is paraben free, dermatologist tested, and won’t clog your pores. It has a very light subtle scent but nothing crazy. I would definitely recommend both of these products.
